Ok, so its been (as Dan politley pointed out to me) a year since my last entry. So here's a breif update (well, breif for me anyway) Got a new job back in Feb. working with Major League Baseball Productions. Started as a lowest level, newest person, logger. Meant that I basically saw 1 third if not more of every interview, basic shots, and game action from all the footage MLB Productions acquires. Our main jobs are TV shows "This Week in Baseball", "Maximum MLB" (on Spike), several shows on the YES Network, and then the World Series DVDs and tons of other things like that (including the beautiful Jennie Finch). Since then I have been promoted to Production Assistant (which in a way was more like a punishment cause I had more work, more hours and no increase in pay...fun). Speaking of hours, I work about 60-80 a week, and that's not including the time that I sleep there, which is about once a week (seriously), or the travel time on the train it takes me each day (about an hour plus each way). There's more but like I said I am trying to keep this one brief. So due to my change in job I also had to have a chnge in living environment starting with moving to Brooklyn since my job is in Manhatten. Rent is cheap compared to what other people at work pay, I just pay $475. I have two roommates, neither of which I knew before, I found the place thanks to Robin on Craig's List. At first I liked the one, his name also Justin, and lived in DE at one point, unfortuneately he moved out. SO now my 2 roomies are a late night NYPD officer and a former Hisidic Jew who ran away from home so that he could go to college... (oh and at 19, only talked to a girl for the 1st time 6 months ago... crazy to say the least... but perhaps he's on to something, haha). My problem with them is that they aren't the cleaniest of folk. Not quite the good Youmans factor, but close, and to Terry's credit, at least he is normal (to me anyway). Women, well that's another story... been a few, most notably Robin, but distance and her need to want more (understandably) called that one short. Since then talked to a girl here and there but still searching and not just outside, but the soul searching too. It's been a year and my feelings haven't changed. And I think about it (her) everyday, and whether I should go against the wishes of not talking to her again. Not that I have great contact info anyway, but a possible email address and a year's worth of thinking. Wish I had the answer, but I know I am not the only one with that wish. When I get home to DE, I still see Mike, Vinny, and Rey. And while some things have changed, its nice to see that some things remain the same. Things are still the same concerning my mom; she has her up days and down days, I just always hope at the end of the month that the ups outnumber the others. My brother...well, that's for another time. But he's still alive, still very much the same, which in this case isn't a good thing. Hope he can figure things out, I know he has the potential. I will be home in DE come THanksgiving til Valentine's Day... so hopefully I can play catch up on an individual basis, especially with the SigEp brothers (Shockey, Dreher, Gilmore, etc) And I probably won't write again til I am home again in Nov, and hopefully get a labtop of my own. We'll see. For those who wish to have my contact info since things have changed and its been so long.... Justin Daniels justin.daniels@mlb.com 302-897-9117 Phone number still the same, email address is new courtesy on my job of course. Any mailings still send to my house in DE
2614 Grant Ave Claymont, DE 19703 I don't claim NYC residence, not at my place enough, and helps the taxes.
Feel free to post a message and encourage my updated journals
